Wait. It's been 11 years??

I feel like I'm in that moment when Rick wakes up and realizes zombies have taken over the world.

It's been 11 years since I wrote a post for my blog. Can that be right? Yep. There it is. There's the date.

Lots of stuff has happened. I moved to Austin. I became a full-on-professional actor. I mean, I've still got a day job.

Oh. Yeah. I got a job at UT.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND...

I got married.

I'm sure some folks out there never thought they'd see THAT day. But. There it is.

In case you didn't notice, those are indeed Super Mario Bros 1-ups. I got a growth mushroom - for obvious reasons and Adrian got an extra life. Not for any obvious reasons.

By the way, I wish there were more opportunities to wear fancy clothes, like say, oh I don't know...that there faux fur vintage-y wrap I'm wearing.

And here's a photo from a play I performed in recently. And loved! Around the World in 80 days with six folks is pretty exciting and the audience LOL'd often.

Thank you Emily and Penfold Theatre for casting me.

I played Passepartout, which was a blast.

Okay. I'm going to call it a post. It's not a lot, but I'll *fingers crossed* actually come back often to write. I wish y'all peace and love..

World End Time ETA: 2012

These are the kinds of questions that keep me up at night...particularly on New Year's Eve and I can only assume tonight on New Year's Day.

There are many theories by noted scholars as well as people who are full of bunk (I know someone who hates that word).

According to the Popol Vuh, a book compiling details of creation accounts known to the K'iche' Maya of the Colonial-era highlands, we are living in the fourth world. The Popol Vuh describes the first three creations that the gods failed in making and the creation of the successful fourth world. In the Maya Long Count (calendar), the previous creation ended at the start of a 13th b'ak'tun.

The previous creation ended on a long count of 12.19.19.17.19. So, of course, guess what? Another 12.19.19.17.19 will occur on December 20th, 2012, followed by the start of the thirteenth b'ak'tun, 13.0.0.0.0, on December 21st, 2012.

I don't know. I guess we'll see. Right now, with the help of one of my best friends and her commitment to online research, we are supposedly living in the time of trial on Earth, and the time of great purification. Maybe this means 2012 will be a great turning point for all of us. Maybe no more war, only peace. Maybe no category 5 hurricanes or huge tsunamis. Quien sabe? I don't. I guess we'll see. For now, I'll continue to read a lot.

Please come see this wonderfully hilarious new show. It's the least expensive buy by far, the best ticket in town!

Third day in and I feel the earth movin'

It seems my boyfriend has gone off into the great unknown and it is indeed a land of unknown natural disasters. My goodness, not three days into training with his new job and there is, yes folks, you guessed it, an earthquake! Good Lord! What are the odds? Pretty good I suppose.

Well, I missed him before, but now I do even more. Be careful out there Adrian! I know the earth would just love to swallow you up, but I love you more!

Fiiiiiiestahh!

long time since my last posting...sheesh..where does the time go?? Well, right now, the time is going and going and going and it's about 1 in the morning and I have to wake up soon for work, but I also had homework tonight that was tough!

Oh gosh...too much stuff. I am grateful for my Adrian who listens to me complain about everything and boy can I complain sometimes.

Hopefully all this school and work will get me a much better, more exciting job, one in which a crazy lady is not trying to take me down and sabotage me every freakin' day! Another story for another entry...

During the summer, I was able to take a break here and there. This is me and Adrian on one of these breaks at Fiesta Texas waiting to get on the Boomerang. V. cool rollercoaster.

I do enjoy a good rollercoaster, although since I've got older, I realize more and more they scare me a little more and more. Ah well...such is life...and again, another story for another entry.

It was the excitingest of times..it's the unexpected times..

Very soon after Adrian's graduation..he's gotten a really great job offer and he will be leaving soon for training in another state. It will certainly be sad to wave goodbye to him as he goes off into the great unknown, but what a great opportunity for him! I'm so proud of my Longhorn boyfriend.

Viva Las Vegas baby..

Adrian and I had the wonderful opportunity to go to Las Vegas last summer. It was very exciting! And this is a picture of us traversing Las Vegas Boulevard. The whole trip was great and it was actually Adrian's first flight. We had a great time and I'll post more pictures again, later.
